An exhibition of
ROCÍO PONCE
Rocio Ponce (Lima, 1975)
Growing up in the countryside, surrounded by books and family antiques, she developed a taste for nature and historical research.
In 1993 he entered the Faculty of Arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Painting.
After participating in the First Ibero-American Biennial of Lima and collective exhibitions in Lima and abroad, she took some time to reflect on her work and take care of her three children.
The quarantine period allowed her to reconnect with nature, with a nostalgic, resilient and hopeful vision. Since then, she has turned to the world of flowers, which she combines with her interest in historical research.
Rocío likes to look at people's expressions and try to see beyond the exterior to then capture it on canvas, seeking to revive her past in tones that seek happiness and nostalgia.
